These two new whiskies from the Highland Park distillery are limited to 657 bottles (1971 vintage) and 893 bottles (1976 vintage) so don’t expect to find one under the tree this year.
If the rarity wasn’t enough of a deterrent, the price will likely be one with the 1971 and 1976 vintages priced at £2,300 and £2,000 respectively. This is certainly not a whisky you’re likely to buy on a whim.
The new vintages will have the same black glass bottles as the previous three vintage expressions available (1964, 1968 and 1970) and will come packaged in wooden presentation boxes. These will only be available from specialist retailers.
If you’d like to try something from Highland Park that is more in reach, may I suggest the 18 year.
