For me, it doesn’t get much better than this. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Grand Feu takes its inspiration from the ultra thin pocket watch created by JLC in 1907 which was also the influential timepiece behind the Master Ultra Thin 1907.
Crafted from white gold, the Grand Feu at 5.04 millimetres, is marginally thicker than the Master Ultra Thin 1907 due to its layers of applied enamel. It uses the Jaeger-LeCoultre manual wind ultra-thin calibre 849 and is sized at a very wearable 39mm.
I particularly like the minute circles and leaf contoured hands which together with the enameled dial make the Grand Feu this one of my favorite watches of the past few years and possibly of all time.
