While I don’t think I’ll be spending $1,750.00 on a single pair of shoes anytime soon, there is nothing wrong with admiring the beauty of well crafted footwear even if it’s sadly out of my price range.
Such is the case with the Chapel double monkstraps from English shoemaker John Lobb. Made in dark brown Misty calf, they’re constructed from a single piece of leather that wraps around the entire shoe. For those who think they may take the plunge, these are on the 8000 Last and have single leather soles.
If you’re more accustomed to North American sizing, choose a full size smaller. Available at Leffot.
