Omega Brings Back The Speedmaster Mark II

Originally Introduced In 1969, The Speedmaster Mark II will be re-introduced this year at Baselworld 2014. However, since that won’t happen for a little while yet, this pre-announcement gives watch enthusiasts a taste of what they can look forward to.

The new Speedmaster Mark II will be available in at least two version, one with orange accents and a gray dial as well as a more subdued version in black and white (with green luminant).

Inside the case you will find the Omega Calibre 3330 automatic movement which includes both Omega Co-Axial escapements as well as silicon balance springs. The chronograph is column-wheel based and the movement has been certified as a COSC Chronometer.

Although the size has not yet been released, a potential range of 42-44mm was suggested by Ariel Adams on A Blog to Watch who also priced the new Speedmaster Mark II at $6,250.
