From April 28th to August 28 2011, seventeen exceptional specimens from Ralph Lauren’s more than sixty rare cars will be on exhibit at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
The exhibit entitled “L’Art de l’automobile, chefs-d’œuvre de la collection Ralph Lauren” offers a selection of the most prestigious sports cars from 1929 to present day .
Chosen by curator Rodolphe Rapetti, and put on display by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, this collection outlines the main phases of European automobile history and is only the second such exhibit organized by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs since 1970 which puts the opportunity presented here into perspective.
With this collection, Ralph Lauren shows that the automobile is a major art form and features some of the industry’s biggest names like Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Porsche and of course, Ferrari, the high point of this unique collection.
